How to file complaints in Consumer Forums [made easy]
Consumer complaints can be filed by any person qualifying the definition of consumer on three grounds, ie; deficiency in service, unfair trade practice and restrictive trade practice.
Jurisdiction:
However, there are pecuniary jurisdictions, ie; upto Rs. 20 lakhs in District Consumer Forum, upto Rs. 1.0 Crore in State Commission and beyond that in National Commission.
Court Fees:
Dependant upon the pecuniary relief involved, court fees is also prescribed which is Upto 1 lakh - Rs.100/-, 1 lakh to 5 lakhs - Rs.200/-, Rs. 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs - Rs.400/- and Rs. 10 lakhs to 20 lakhs - Rs.500/- which is payable through Demand Draft favouring Registrar concerned forum. 
How to file:
Complainant is at liberty to file complaint in person or through authorized representative or through a lawyer.  Complaint is required to be filed on green paper on legal size paper in 3 copies for the court and 1 copy each for the parties in ordinary white paper.
Format:

Consumer complaint is required to be filed in the manner of petition, disclosing all facts and ingredients and relief has to be specifically claimed.  Complaint must be supported by an affidavit.
