Toll free helpline to be set up in Public Service Commission

K.S Tomar, Chair­man, Himachal Pradesh Pub­lic Ser­vice Com­mis­sion, after assum­ing the charge, announced to start a toll free helpline to assist the can­di­dates in get­ting all infor­ma­tion and Com­mis­sion would also work towards offer­ing an online mon­i­tor­ing sys­tem of all Req­ui­si­tions, Depart­men­tal Pro­mo­tion Com­mit­tees and R&P Rules received by the Com­mis­sion from the client departments.

Tomar said that ensur­ing equal oppor­tu­ni­ties to the peo­ple liv­ing in far flung areas of the State would be his utmost pri­or­ity besides giv­ing a can­di­date friendly face to the Pub­lic Ser­vice Commission.

He said that appro­pri­ate rec­om­men­da­tions would be sent to the Gov­ern­ment for intro­duc­ing coach­ing in Apti­tude Tests in Col­leges and Uni­ver­si­ties on the anal­ogy of NCC and NSS, if needed.

He said that mod­ern inno­va­tions in the exam­i­na­tion and eval­u­a­tion sys­tem would be intro­duced like Bar-coded fic­ti­tious roll num­bers in place of man­ual entries, high speed intel­li­gent char­ac­ter read­ers to pro­vide error free and effi­cient results and prepa­ra­tion of Ques­tion Banks for var­i­ous exam­i­na­tions besides giv­ing due weigh­tage to com­pre­hen­sive knowl­edge of Himachal Pradesh.
